The short version. Using a calculator sends us nothing — it runs in your browser. We only receive information when you ask for quotes, and then we pass it to the professionals you asked us to contact. We do not sell it, and there is no advertising tracking on this site.

Using a calculator sends us nothing
Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. The size of your house, your ZIP code, the options you choose — none of it is transmitted to us or stored anywhere. You can use this site from end to end without us learning anything about you.
What we collect when you request quotes
Asking for quotes is the one place you give us information. That is the point of the form, and it is the only reason we ask. It covers:
- Your name, email address, phone number and the ZIP code or address of the project.
- The project details you entered, so a professional can quote without asking twice.
- A record of the consent you gave, including the exact wording shown to you and when.
Our servers also keep ordinary web logs — IP address, browser, page requested, timestamp — for security and to stop abuse of the quote form. These are kept for a short period and are not used to build a profile of you.
What we do not do
- No advertising trackers. There are no third-party advertising or analytics pixels on this site. If that changes, this page will say so before it does.
- No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and no password to lose.
- No selling of personal information. See below for what that means legally.
Who we share it with
When you request quotes, we pass your request to professionals in your area who can do that work, and to the partners who operate that matching. That is the service you asked for. Those professionals pay to receive requests, which is how this site is funded.
Under California law and several similar state laws, disclosing personal information to a partner in exchange for money can count as a sale or a share, whatever the ordinary meaning of the word. We treat it that way and give you the right to opt out below. We do not disclose your information to anyone for their own marketing.
We also use ordinary service providers — hosting, email delivery, spam prevention — who process data on our instructions and may not use it for anything else. And we will disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Quote requests and their consent records are kept for as long as we need them to run the service and to show that consent was given, and then deleted. Consent records outlive the request itself on purpose: if a professional ever contacts you and you object, that record is what shows what you agreed to.
Your choices
- Access. Ask what we hold about you and we will tell you.
- Deletion. Ask us to delete it and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
- Correction. Tell us what is wrong and we will fix it.
- Opt out of sale or sharing. Email us and we will stop passing your information to professionals. Note that this also ends the quote service for you, since passing it on is the service.
- No retaliation. Using any of these does not get you a worse service.

Calls and texts
If you tick the consent box on a quote form, you are agreeing that the professionals we match you with may call or text you about your project, including with automated systems, at the number you gave. That consent is not a condition of using this site or of getting an estimate, and you can withdraw it at any time by telling us or by replying STOP to a text.
Children
This site is for adults arranging work on property. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will remove it.
Changes
If we change how any of this works, we change this page at the same time and update the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the site rather than made quietly.
